Management of gifts and donations during the COVID-19 crisis

The response by the general public and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic to support our staff at the NCA with offers of cash, equipment and other means was greatly appreciated.

The NCA has a duty to ensure all gifts and donations received are properly managed. So we've made every effort to capture and record all donations made in these very exceptional circumstances.

Cash donations have been directed to the General Office and/or Charitable Funds Departments.

Digital equipment has been managed via our Digital Department, with appropriate checks and addition to Asset Registers, prior to being distributed to Critical Care/COVID-19 areas.

All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donations have been managed via our NCA Resilience Centre, where they were checked to ensure compliance with the national guidelines issued by NHS England before being used across the NCA.

Going forward, offers of donations will be directed to our Charitable Funds Office, charity@srft.nhs.uk
