NCA welcomes new 0-19 children’s services

6 September 2022

The NCA has welcomed colleagues from Bridgewater NHS Trust to the NCA Family as part of a new partnership with Oldham Council, which is bringing high quality children’s services for 0-19 year olds across Oldham.

The two organisations are working together to offer a range of integrated 0-19 children’s services for families. This includes the health visiting service and other services located within the borough’s Children’s Centres including early learning development teams, early years special educational needs and disability (SEND) support, the family nurse partnership, school nursing service and oral health improvement teams for 0-5 year olds.

The aim is to offer children and young people’s services that give young people the best possible start in life, meet the needs of families and provide the best outcomes for children. The partnership sees hospital and community-based children’s services work in a more joined up and integrated way. Families won't be seeing any changes to the way that services are delivered, and service users are continuing to access services in the same way they always have.

David Jago, chief officer for Oldham Care Organisation, said: “We’re delighted to welcome colleagues from the Oldham 0-19 children’s service who have transferred into our organisation. These teams play a fantastic role in supporting and caring for children, young people and families across a range of local services."
