Allied Health Professions Return to Practice Virtual Event

Event details

21st January 2022, 10:00am to 11:30am

Are you an Allied Health Professional (AHP) looking to Return to Practice (RtP) joining an Organisation that provides excellent support and invests in your career? Perhaps you are an AHP who is already registered and looking for a period of updating? Or maybe you are an AHP who lives and plans to return to work in England, once returned to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) register? If so, read on as we are recruiting to our AHP RtP programme!

Our programme acknowledges the wealth of experience you will bring back to your profession. If you want to kick start afresh your AHP career, NOW is the time to do it with the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust, one of the largest NHS organisations in the country.

We are friendly and supportive with experience of facilitating a succession of AHP’s to return to registered practice following a career break. Most of our returnees have progressed to secure qualified posts with us!

You will need to:

  • Have a recognised degree in an AHP profession, and commitment to regaining HCPC registration.
  • Register with the HEE return to practice programme. Returners can claim out of pocket expenses to undertake supervised practice and receive funding towards formal or informal study.
  • Complete your contracted hours and professional competencies
  • Promote Trust values and behaviours

We offer in return:

  • Voluntary / potentially paid placements as a therapy assistant.
  • A comprehensive induction
  • Regular supervision from an experienced Practice Supervisor.
  • CPD, service development and innovation opportunities
  • Flexible working
  • Support to gain employment within the Northern Care Alliance once back on the HCPC register.
  • Payment of your readmission / first year (or part year) of registration fee to get back onto the HCPC register if you take up a permanent position with us and remain employed with us for at least 6 months.

Appointment to a placement is subject to informal interview, references, DBS and Occupational Health checks.
