Member Communication

Enhancing Member Engagement and Communication

As a Foundation Trust, we are accountable to our local communities, patients, and staff. This status enables us to ensure that the voices of those we serve are reflected in the decisions we make. Our vision is for the NCA’s membership to be active, engaged, involved and representative of local communities, staff and the wider population to support the delivery of Vision 10, the NCA’s long term strategy underpinned by the Trust values Care, Appreciate, Inspire.

At the Northern Care Alliance, we are committed to building a vibrant, engaged, and inclusive membership that reflects the diverse communities we serve. Our goal is not just to grow our numbers, but to foster meaningful relationships with members who feel informed, involved, and valued.

We know that a well-connected membership leads to better insight, stronger accountability, and more effective services. That’s why improving the quality of engagement is a key priority in our strategy.

Questions for Governors

Governors ensure that the voices of members are heard and that our Trust remains focused on what matters most to the people we serve. They work closely with the Board of Directors, holding the Non-Executive Directors to account and shaping the strategic direction of the Trust.

Governors are not directly involved in:

  • operational management
  • individual specific patient or staff issues
  • handling complaints
  • confidential patient issues

We are committed to improving how we engage with members—providing more opportunities for meaningful involvement, two-way dialogue, and regular updates on the Trust’s work and plans. Please submit any questions you have for the Governors using the form below and we will endevour to respond.
