Maternity Services at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
Having a baby is an exciting and life-changing event and we aim to provide the best possible experience for mothers, babies and families across Oldham, Rochdale and Greater Manchester.
Our aim is to provide you with the highest standard of care and support, whether you decide to have your baby in hospital or at home. We provide one-to-one midwifery-led care tailored to your individual needs and our fantastic obstetric team also provide more specialist advice and support for more complex pregnancies or health conditions.
Each year, we deliver approximately 5,300 babies in our maternity unit and in the community. Our £44m women and children’s facility includes a major purpose-built four storey building, antenatal wards, labour delivery rooms, midwife-led birth centre, obstetric theatres, children’s unit, paediatric theatre and a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
The Royal Oldham Hospital is one of three specialist regional neonatal centres providing the highest level of intensive care to the smallest and most vulnerable babies. The NICU consists of 37 cots with 9 intensive care, 9 high dependency and 19 special care cots.
We look forward to welcoming you to our maternity unit in the near future.
