This is the place to jump start your career in the NCA...
Our career and work experience programmes inspire people in our communities.
Did you know there are over 350 different careers available in the NHS?
We know that for many, a small taste of what it’s like to work in healthcare is enough to raise their aspirations and fuel a desire to work in the NHS. This is why we are dedicated to building opportunities that target pockets of our community who will benefit from help to access work.
Our WorkSTART pages raise awareness of the many career opportunities available within the NHS and begin to create links with our future workforce and support you into your early career in the NCA.

NHS Health Careers
The NCA Family
Our mission is to support individuals to gain paid employment, learn new skills or simply gain exposure to the world of healthcare.
We’re committed to improving the life opportunities, inclusion, social mobility and health and wellbeing of our local population. Nearly 60% of our staff come from the communities we serve and our ambition is to increase this in the next 5 years. We know there is strong evidence linking decent work with good health. By employing local people we are supporting our local economy and infrastructure.
Not only that, the NCA starts early by working with local school and college students inspiring and helping them make their career decisions and showing them what a great career you can have in the NCA.
This is our social value and Anchor Institution mission.
