On Tuesday 5 May, clinical staff working in Critical Care Units across the Northern Care Alliance will take part in a period of industrial action for 48 hours.
The industrial action, by nursing and healthcare support workers, will inevitably put additional pressure on our already busy departments but we are working hard to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.
Patient safety remains our priority and all scheduled appointments are going ahead as planned unless you are called and told otherwise.
Please remember that A&E / emergency departments should only be used for major, life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
For conditions which are less urgent, please use NHS 111, or visit a local pharmacy, GP or walk-in services for support instead.
