Colleagues on Ward 12 at Fairfield General Hospital in Bury are delighted to have been rated Green in their recent Nursing Accreditation and Assessment System (NAAS) inspection.
Ward 12 is the first ward in the Trust to achieve their third Green NAAS assessment. NAAS is used to ensure high quality standards of nursing care are delivered by our nursing teams and departments.
The 14 standards are: Organisation and Management of the Clinical Area, Safeguarding Patients, Pain Management, Patient Safety, Environmental Safety, Nutrition and Hydration, End of Life Care, Medicines Management, Person Centred Care, Tissue Viability, Elimination, Communication, Infection Control and People Management.
Melanie Brindle, ward manager, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Ward 12. Becoming the first ward in the Trust to achieve Green NAAS status for the third time is testament to their hard work and commitment to providing high quality care for our patients. I am very proud and want to thank my colleagues for their dedication."
