Charlotte was born in Salford and has a background in child psychology. She worked in local government before joining one of the largest mental health providers in the country, as Executive Director for Strategy, People and Partnerships at Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust before taking up her role in London.

Alistair, who is also from the Greater Manchester area, worked as a junior doctor throughout the north-west, including at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust and Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Since then, he's held several senior leadership and educational roles, including clinical director of imaging and associate divisional medical director, and recently acted as Chief Medical Officer for the NCA before the arrival of Dr Rafik Bedair.

Charlotte said: “I am thrilled to be joining the NCA as Salford Care Organisation’s Chief Officer. With a background in both health and social care I am really looking forward to working with the team and partner organisations to deepen integration. We know this makes such a difference to the outcomes for communities and patients.

“For me coming to Salford, the place I was born and spent my early childhood, means a great deal; knowing I can play a role to reduce health inequalities is a real driver for me. I am going to be working alongside so many passionate people and I can’t wait to join such an inspiring team and place.”

Alistair commented: “I’m really excited to be joining a great team at Oldham Care Organisation. Having worked across all sites within the NCA, I know that Oldham has already built a reputation for listening to the local community and transforming services. I’m keen that we use those skills to address the population health inequalities that exist there.”
