We provide dietetic consultations for children, young people and families (0-18) living in the borough of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale. Where appropriate, the team also supports some young people up to the age of 19 years old.
We accept referrals from health professionals.
The team will provide appropriate signposting, guidance, assessment and treatment where needed. This includes those with tube feeding, faltering growth, allergies, overweight issues, fussy eaters issues and other nutritional deficiencies.
The service aims to:

Assess current dietary intake

Assess any issues/problems that are affecting dietary intake

Provide individual advice, adapting current diets to meet dietary requirements, taking into account therapeutic needs

Educate and support children, young people and their families on the management of the therapeutic diets.
