Gastrointestinal Physiology Unit - Rochdale Infirmary

The Gastrointestinal physiology unit is an essential part of the gastrointestinal department. This service operates from a purpose built unit at Rochdale Infirmary. We have two procedure rooms individually designed for upper and lower procedures.

  • High resolution oesophageal manometry
  • Ano rectal manometry
  • 24 Hour pH study
  • 24 hour impedance study
  • Biofeedback therapy
  • Bravo capsule study

GI physiology unit is a patient oriented service providing a friendly and welcoming place for your procedures. We pride in providing an excellent and dedicated care to patients referred for the above procedures.  The service is run by a qualified GI physiologist assisted by a health care assistant.
