In order to provide this high quality care there is a further range of specialist departments, including Neurophysiology, Neuro-anaesthesia and Neuro-intensive care.
The MCCN is based at Salford Royal Hospital and this is the centre for Adult Neurosciences. However Neuroscience care is also provided outside of Salford Royal, with Paediatric Neurosciences based at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
The care of brain and spinal tumours involves a close collaboration with our Neuro-Oncology colleagues at The Christie Hospital. Stereotactic Radiosurgery is provided at Salford Royal in a specialist building “The Christie at Salford”.
