Podiatry Service - Bury Community

We are specialists in foot health and provide a comprehensive service that includes diagnosis, management and treatment of lower limb and foot dysfunction, and associated pathologies. We have a particular focus on complex foot conditions.

Our podiatrists work in partnership with patients, their carers, primary and secondary health care teams to promote foot health, help people to live more independently and minimise the risk of amputation for people with advanced foot complications.

We provide the following:

  • New patient assessment clinics
  • High risk wound care
  • Managed care clinics (this is a step down clinic from the high risk pathway)
  • MSK (musculoskeletal) for complex foot conditions
  • A daily triage session of referrals
  • Nail surgery

We don't provide routine foot care such as nail cutting, fungal nails, verrucae, corns and callus debridement, in patients who are otherwise healthy.

Care is delivered at clinics across the borough including , Townside Primary Care Centre, Radcliffe Primary Care centre and Pretwich Health centre.

A limited home-based service is available for people who meet the house bound criteria.
