The Northern Care Alliance (NCA) is inviting people across Greater Manchester and the communities it serves to help shape its new 10‑year organisational strategy.
Launching today, the engagement programme — Shape Tomorrow Together — asks patients, service users, carers, families, partners, local residents and community organisations to share one bold idea or goal they believe should guide the future of health and care across the region.
The NCA provides hospital and community services for hundreds of thousands of people every year, and the new strategy will set the direction for the next decade. It will focus on improving health, delivering high‑quality care, tackling inequalities, supporting thriving communities and making the best use of innovation and technology.
Why your voice matters
The organisation wants to work with the people who use its services to understand what matters most. This engagement will help the NCA shape a clear mission, vision and long‑term priorities that reflect the needs and hopes of local communities.
Whether it’s improving access to services, supporting people to stay well at home, creating more joined‑up care, or making patient and service user experience better — every idea can help shape the future.
How to get involved

The NCA will also be gathering views through community conversations, engagement activities and events taking place across its hospitals and neighbourhoods.
What happens next
All ideas received will help shape a draft strategy, which will include:
- A new mission
- A clear 10‑year vision
- 6–8 long‑term priorities for health and care
The NCA will share updates on what it has heard during the process and publish a “You said, we did” report once the strategy is finalised later this year.
