A collection of artworks from the START Inspiring Minds charity and alumni student, Rachel Holliday from the University of Salford are now pride of place in the Ladywell Building corridor at Salford Royal hospital for staff, patients, and visitors to admire.
The collaborative project led by Rachel represents the creative expression of the values within the hospital, the history of Salford and the celebration of NHS workers. Artists came together during a series of workshops to create their collection.
The finished artwork featuring six individually designed pieces of art were recently unveiled at Salford Royal. Lorraine Eastham Director of Human Resources at Salford Care Organisation, was on hand to present Rachel as well as Debbie Flint from START Inspiring Minds charity with thank-you plaques in commemoration of their work.
Rachel said, “I am really pleased to see the unique pictures in place, and we hope the artwork will remain a piece of history at the hospital for years to come.”
