Rochdale Health Visitor, Emma Carey, has turned her hand to writing a cookbook to help combat food poverty.

Seeing the daily struggles people face feeding their families on her rounds, Emma was inspired to write ‘Bites from the Breadline.’

It’s primarily a recipe book, but also contains useful information about safe and warm spaces, and where to get free hot food in winter.

Emma says, “Whilst the book cannot change poverty, the idea is to make it a little easier to access a hot and healthy meal.”

Publication was made possible by Action Together Rochdale.
