Going for Gold at Employers Recognition Scheme

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) has been awarded the Employers Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold accolade for their support to the defence and armed forces community. 

Allan Cordwell, Head of Emergency Planning, Resilience and Response Unit and veteran said: "We are delighted and honoured that we have achieved the Gold Award in the Employers Recognition Scheme for our commitment to supporting the armed forces community and their families. It is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our hardworking staff that we strive to provide the best possible care and continue to promote our organisational values."

The Trust recently reaffirmed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant Pledge at a special ceremony attended by Diane Hawkins, Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester. The Gold ERS award recognises the support the NCA provides the Armed Forces community that includes help with personal issues, specific HR policies that cater for their needs and flexibility in training and roles offered for all reservists, cadets and veterans.    

The ERS is awarded by the Ministry of Defence.
