NCA recognised in regional awards shortlist for supporting line management

21 February 2022

The Northern Care Alliance has been shortlisted for The Greater Manchester Good Employment Awards in the ‘Best for Supporting Line Management’ category.

The nomination recognises our ongoing commitment to create a culture of compassion, inclusive and collectively owned leadership through ‘Leadership by All; Development for All’, supporting all our colleagues to fulfil their hopes and ambitions and reach their full potential.

This includes our approach to High Performing Teams, involving teams in ensuring collective and aligned focus on service improvement to ensure our services are safe, reliable, and high quality.

At the NCA we support line managers to bring to life our NCA mission: ‘Saving Lives; Improving Lives.’

Julia Marshall, Group Associate Director, Talent and Organisational Development, at the NCA, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for this award and to be recognised for the energy we put into supporting our NCA Leaders.

“It’s especially great to be recognised for a Greater Manchester Good Employment award as it demonstrates our commitment to making workplaces fairer, happier and more inclusive, which is what we are all about in Talent and Organisational Development.

“Over the past few years our line managers have worked extremely hard whilst facing difficult challenges, and we chose this award category as it reflects their continued efforts in leading their teams, and for everything we are doing to support them to support their colleagues.”

The awards recognise excellent employment practice amongst Greater Manchester employers.

They are hosted by the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and this is the first time the awards have occurred.
