One minute silence on Friday - To mark health and care workers' sacrifices during Covid

10 March 2022

Over the course of the pandemic sadly more than 160,000 people have died from Covid in the UK. Included in this death toll are at least a thousand health-care workers. Those are people who put themselves in the line of fire to care for others.

As you will be aware, the NCA has lost a number of its own staff over the past two years. To honour them, and the many others in the NHS who have given their lives in service, we are joining NHS Charities Together in a nationwide minute of silence on Friday, 11 March, at 11am.

Whilst the NHS Charities Together moment of silence is for those we’ve lost, it will also remind us of the hard work and sacrifices made by all of our workforce across all roles and in acute and community settings.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
