The HMR Community Frailty Therapy Team and Care Home Matrons, have been praised for providing ‘outstanding’ training to local care homes.
Recently they’ve been providing training for pressure ulcer prevention, advanced care planning, hydration, falls, catheters, right pad right patient, and infection control.
Oakland Care Home recently took part in falls training, learning how to spot trip hazards, and risks associated with clothing, shoes, medication, equipment, and post falls care.
Hannah Wood, Deputy Home Manager at Oakland, said: “It was a true pleasure for us to work with such an engaging team. Our staff really enjoyed the training, which was very informative and helpful.”
