Would you like to be a governor and help shape our future plans?

19 July 2023

Are you passionate about health and social care and want to make a difference in your local community?

Our Council of Governors elections open on 31 July, and we’re looking for dedicated people to stand for election.

This is an important role, ensuring the views of our wider community are considered in providing and developing the Trust’s services. It’s your chance to get involved and represent the interests of those you work with and live with.

Professor Eileen Fairhurst MBE, Chairman of the NCA, (pictured) said:

“I would encourage anyone with an interest in health to consider being a governor for their local area, it is a great way to ensure their views are heard and considered in our future plans. You’ll get to link up with patients and NHS staff, and your work will make a real difference to their experience of healthcare.”

Governors do not need any special qualifications, just enthusiasm, and a desire to make a difference.

We’re holding elections for sixteen governor vacancies in the following constituencies:

  • Oldham - 2 seats
  • Rochdale - 2 seats

Staff seats
