SDEC2 is a part of the Emergency Department at Salford Royal Hospital where patients can be seen, treated and discharged with follow up care where appropriate.
Patients who present to the Emergency Department with a range of conditions may be transferred to SDEC2 to see a clinician.
Our aim is to reduce the amount of time spent in the Emergency Department and ensure that patients are reviewed appropriately and safely.
You may also be transferred to SDEC2 if you are awaiting review from the following specialities:
- ENT
- Dermatology
- Orthopaedics
- Plastics
SDEC2 is open from 7:30am – 8:00pm 7 days a week. If for any unforeseen reason your treatment is not able to be completed by this time, you may be transferred to another area within the hospital.
We kindly ask that only one visitor accompanies you during your time on SDEC2.
Refreshments are available, just ask any member of the team who would be happy to help.
QR codes are established around the department for any feedback, and a feedback book is also located at the entrance to the department.
