Who are we?
The High Impact Substance Misuse Team provides support to people who frequently attend Salford Royal Hospital with alcohol and drug related health issues. The team appreciate that people may also be experiencing a complex range of other social issues which we will endeavour to provide help with.
We have well established links and work in partnership with many community-based services, including other substance misuse, health, and social care providers. We support people to identify their unmet needs and help to source the best service to bridge any gaps in care.
The team is made up of outreach workers, a recovery coordinator, an administrator, and clinical lead - mental health nurse. The team is also supported by a specialist doctor and consultant psychiatrist.
